Directive 2014/32/EU Measuring Instruments

OTC Bulgaria is now officially notified under the Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU. The following meters are in our scope:
- Gas flow meters and volume correction devices
- Active energy meters
- Thermal energy meters
The procedure by which we can carry out a conformity assessment is described in module H1. In this case, a competent expert from our team will assess the design of the relevant meter, after which an on-site audit will be carried out. During the design assessment, the expert will assess whether the meter meets all the necessary technical requirements and standards. The on-site audit will include a visit to the factory where the instrument is to be manufactured to ensure that it is manufactured correctly and accurately.
As a result, a certificate of conformity will be issued. This certificate serves as proof that the measuring instrument meets all necessary regulatory requirements. It assures customers and stakeholders that the instrument is reliable and accurate for its intended use.
